Not only are we not flighty, lazy, idealists who refuse to grow up (no matter what somebody’s republican uncle might say), most of us have worked hard af, hustle our faces off, and are used to doing a whole lot — all while being chronically underpaid and told if we really loved our work we would do it for free eyeroll.
We’ve sat through many a late night conversation with our peers about how hard it is to be in our field, how hard it is to make enough money doing our Sacred Work, and how people undervalue us… and in some moments we’ve even given into the pessimism.
But inside we know, there has got to be another way!
